Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation therapists provide a variety of services that support the hospital’s in-patient and out-patient populations. In-patient therapists provide services to patients at their bedsides, and two offsite locations accommodate patients with rehabilitation after discharge.
The physical and occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists evaluate and treat patients in all locations with such conditions including, but not limited to the following:
- Stroke and other neurological deficit conditions
- Bone and joint repair and/or replacement
- Injuries
- Dizziness
- Spinal conditions
- Craniomandibular (TMJ) difficulties
- Swallowing difficulties
Patients receive a thorough evaluation during their first visit. Our therapist creates an individualized treatment program to address the specific problem areas identified in the evaluation.
Goals are established based on the therapist’s findings and the patient’s own treatment expectations. Patients are then treated and monitored individually by the licensed professional staff throughout the course of treatment.
