Crouse Health Recognized by the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves (ESGR) for Outstanding Service in Support of the National Defense

Major Tanveer Zamani, MD, general surgeon at Crouse Health and Commissioned Officer in the United States Army, nominated Crouse Health along with President and CEO Seth Kronenberg, MD, and general surgeon Thomas Hartzheim, MD for the following awards, presented by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), for their dedicated support to the national defense.

Dr. Kronenberg was presented with the Seven Seals Award for meritorious leadership and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve.

Dr. Hartzheim, representing all of Crouse Medical Practice Surgical Services, was recognized as a Patriotic Employer by the Office of the Secretary of Defense Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve presented the Above and Beyond Award to Crouse Health on behalf of the men and women of the National Guard and Reserve Forces for outstanding service and continuing support to the national defense.

Dr. Zamani obtained her medical degree from Jinnah Sindh Medical University and completed general surgery residency at Geisinger Medical Center. She received surgical critical care fellowship training from John Stroger Hospital as well as fellowship training for mastery in general surgery through the American College of Surgeons Program.
