Are you suffering from hip or knee pain (or know someone who is)? Two of the area’s leading board-certified orthopedic specialists will discuss the latest treatments in orthopedic care and surgery on Thursday, Jan. 15 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Marley Education Center, 765 Irving Ave. Timothy Izant, MD, and Daniel DiChristina, MD, will present “Managing Joint Pain and Arthritis: Surgical and Non-Surgical Options in Orthopedic Care.” The seminar is free and open to the public; parking is also free in the Marley and Crouse Hospital garages, and a light lunch will be provided. Call 472-2464 to register.
Dr. Izant will explain hip and knee replacement surgery and outline the most recent advances in joint reconstructive surgery. Dr. DiChristina will discuss how to manage arthritis; the non-operative care of arthritis; and the role of physical therapy. Both physicians, affiliated with Crouse, are partners in Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists.
