Crouse Hospital Hosts Fourth Annual EMS Teaching Day for Emergency Professionals


EMS Teaching Day 2013 - newsCrouse Hospital invites Central New York EMS professionals to the fourth annual EMS Fall Teaching Day Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Marley Education Center, 765 Irving Ave. Join our team of experts for a day of valuable hands-on learning and doing, focusing on the latest weight loss/obstetrical complications care and treatment, skills development/enhancement and interactive demonstrations.

The free day-long program features emergency services experts from Crouse Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Upstate Medical University and Cayuga and Onondaga County EMS agencies. The program will also include a review of current pre-hospital and emergency medicine issues with presentations and case studies focusing on common complications in bariatric surgery, head injuries/concussions, obstetrical complications, oxygen therapy, cardiology, disaster/large gathering medicine and fire ground and operational rehab. Following the program, participants will be able to identify evidence-based strategies and treatment options for pre hospital care and integrate these strategies into their practice.

Breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided, with for networking with vendors and colleagues. Free parking is available in the Crouse Hospital garage. CMEs are available.
