Nurses will be in demand for years to come. According to, part of a national nursing recruitment project sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, there will be an estimated shortage of 800,000 nurses by the year 2020. With the world population living longer and needing more care, the healthcare field is one of the best places to get a job, and will likely stay that way for many years to come. Nursing is also considered a highly regarded profession. A Gallup Poll several years ago announced that the public again voted nurses number one for "honesty and ethical standards of various professions.”

Crouse Hospital College of Nursing ranks among the top RN programs in New York State and nationwide. Every graduate is immediately employable within the healthcare field or able to matriculate into an advanced degree program. The college is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission, a high-quality, independent regulatory agency with rigorous educational standards. Offering a two-year associate’s degree program, the college features classroom, clinical, laboratory and computer-assisted study within a state-of-the-art teaching environment that includes an array of simulation mannekins that help students learn valuable skills in a life-like setting before working with patients. Innovative program design, low student-to-instructor ratios and affordable tuition are among the school’s strengths and contribute to the success of each individual. The College also offers tutoring and assistance with assignments through its Center for Academic Success.
