Union Positions
Many Crouse Hospital employees are represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU Local 1199, United Healthcare Workers East). An agreement is currently in place representing the majority of Crouse employees, including RN, LPN/Technical, Service, Maintenance and Clerical staff. All new hires included in one of these bargaining units are required to become members of the union upon completion of 30 calendar days.
Over the years, SEIU and Crouse Hospital have worked collaboratively on numerous projects that have benefited the hospital, employees, patients and our community, including a book drive in April 2010 to benefit children in Haiti. We are committed to working together to obtain our ultimate goals of providing the best in patient care, promoting community health and remaining the employer of choice.
