The 2023 E-QUAL Honor Roll awardees for stroke care are recognized for arrival to computed tomography (CT) scan time for hemorrhagic or ischemic stroke patients, and door-to-needle time for ischemic stroke patients.

Get With The Guidelines puts the expertise of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association to work for hospitals nationwide, helping ensure patient care is aligned with the latest research- and evidence-based guidelines. Get With The Guidelines – Stroke is an in-hospital program for improving stroke care by promoting consistent adherence to these guidelines, which can minimize the long-term effects of a stroke and even prevent death.

Get With the Guidelines Gold Plus – Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus; Advanced Therapy; Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll
American Heart Association/American Stroke Association
For the first time, Crouse has also received the Association’s Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll award. To qualify for this recognition, hospitals must meet quality measures developed with more than 90% of compliance for 12 consecutive months for the “Overall Diabetes Cardiovascular Initiative Composite Score.”
2021
Obstetric Hemorrhage Project 2021 Quality Improvement Award
The New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NYSPQC)
This award recognizes Crouse’s participation in the NYS Obstetric Hemorrhage Project and the dedicated work to meet the project’s goal of assessing at least 85% of patients on admission to the birth hospitalization and during the postpartum period for risk of obstetric hemorrhage.
Antimicrobial Stewardship Center of Excellence
The Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA)
Crouse joins an elite group of designated institutions across the United States that are dedicated to raising standards that define excellence in the practice and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship, which is a global public health priority as established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the U.S. government.

Crouse Health is one of just 37 New York State healthcare facilities — and the only one in Central New York —to be designated an Age-Friendly Health System.

Get With The Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus / Heart Failure Gold Plus
American Heart Association/American Stroke Association
The awards recognize success in meeting or exceeding standards established by the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association through their “Get with the Guidelines” (GWTG) program. This includes consistent application of best-practice, research-based standards of care, which reduce recovery time, disability, and mortality rates for stroke patients, and reduction in hospital readmissions for heart failure patients.
