My Background I moved to Syracuse in 1968 to work for General Electric, retired from Carrier, and served as a New York State Emergency Medical Technician. I still teach these skills at the American Red Cross. I went back to school and graduated from Syracuse University in 2006 with a degree in Information Technology and a minor in Anthropology.

When did you start volunteering at Crouse?
April 2006
Why did you select Crouse as a place to volunteer?
I was introduced to Crouse because my wife was a volunteer of the Hospital.
What do you like best about your volunteer experience at Crouse?
I enjoy helping people and getting to know others. The Crouse culture and medical staff make my volunteer experience rewarding. My wife struggled with cancer for three and a half years, and was in and out of Crouse Hospital. During this time the medical staff at Crouse was great to my family, and I volunteer as a way of giving back to the hospital.
