Elan Salzhauer, MD

SalzhauerElan Salzhauer, MD, is a board-certified urologist treating a wide range of urologic conditions, but specializing in oncology, robotic surgery and laparoscopy. He has a special interest in treating prostate and kidney cancer and believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of these diseases.

Dr. Salzhauer received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, his Medical School training from SUNY Upstate Medial School and his urology training from SUNY Downstate Medical School in New York City. He completed sub-specialty training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, focusing on prostate, kidney and bladder cancers. Dr. Salzhauer's research has been published in the Journal of Urology, the British Journal of Urology and the Journal of Pediatrics. He has presented his work at several international meetings. He has won several awards including a prestigious teaching award and he is a member of several major medical and urological associations.

Dr. Salzhauer moved back to the Syracuse area after residency with his wife, who is a native of Cazenovia. They have two small boys and love being back in Upstate New York.
