A major component of Crouse Hospital’s Institute for Integrative Medicine is educating the public and healthcare providers about the benefits of complementary treatments to reduce pain, decrease stress and enhance well-being.
Mindful Living and Stress Reduction Program
No one is immune to stressful events. It is our physical and emotional reactions to these events that determine how much we “suffer.” By learning how to control our responses, with mindfulness and balance, we can improve the quality of our lives.
The Mindful Living and Stress Reduction (MLSR) program is an outpatient behavioral course that guides participants in learning how to face the stressful events that arise every day, in a way that results in more balance and stability. The class meets one evening a week for 90 minutes for four consecutive weeks, and includes a full-day Saturday retreat.
