Health Tip: Traveling By Plane During
Pregnancy?
04/05/12
(HealthDay News) -- If you travel by plane during pregnancy,
take some extra time to ensure a more comfortable journey.
The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists offers
these suggestions:
- Book an aisle seat, which can make it easier to get up, move
around and stretch your legs.
- Avoid carbonated beverages and foods that tend to cause
gas.
- Always wear your seatbelt, and keep it positioned below your
belly.
- Ask your doctor about the safety of taking anti-nausea
medication, if needed.
