Crouse Hospital has appointed John Bergemann as Director of Human Resources. He had been serving in that capacity on an interim basis. Prior to that, he was the hospital’s Manager of Employee Benefits, responsible for the overall administration of all employee benefits. He also served as Manager of Accounting at the hospital from 1992 through 1998.
In his new role, Bergemann will oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the hospital’s human resources function including benefits, employment and employee relations. Crouse, one of Central New York’s largest employers, has over 2,500 employees. “John has been a valued member of the Crouse team since 1992,” states Crouse Hospital President and CEO Paul Kronenberg, MD. “His dedication, knowledge of the hospital and the needs of our employees, and his strong customer service orientation will serve the hospital well as we continue to focus on performance excellence throughout the organization.”
He resides in Baldwinsville with his wife and family. Bergemann holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John’s University. He is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management, and Chair of the Human Resources Group of the Iroquois Healthcare Association. He is also a member of the Bishop Grimes parent organization and School Advisory Committee.
