Crouse Hopsital Auxillary Prescribes “Retail Therapy” Thursday, October 22

09/17/09

Following “doctor’s orders,” all women in the Syracuse community have been prescribed a therapeutic evening of “Retail Therapy,” including shopping, dinner, drinks and fun on Thursday, Oct. 22 between 5 to 9 p.m. at Al’s Wine and Whiskey Lounge in Armory Square, 321 South Clinton Street.

This “girl’s night out” will support the Crouse Hospital Auxiliary and its continued commitment to Crouse Hospital to provide the best in patient care and to promote community health.

Fabulous shopping will be provided by Arbonne, Bella Creations, B Better Book, Bella and Grace Dog Couture, CNY Chef, Creative Memories, Crouse Hospital Gift Shop, Eva’s Boutique, Gerri Rich Designs, Hospital-Land, Huephoria Glassware, Initial Impressions, Jennifer Locke Designs, Lilypad Creations, My Doll My Fashion, Nancy McConnell Candles, Nicole Van Hee Designs, Promise Me Chocolate, Showoff’s Boutique, and The Vault. This event will also include a raffle featuring a chance to win over $1000 in gift cards to the shops in Armory Square. Complimentary parking will be provided by Republic Parking in lots located at 340 West Fayette St. or their open lot on the corner of Franklin and Fayette streets.

Women can participate in this fundraising opportunity by becoming either a ‘Platinum Shopper’ or a ‘Gold Shopper.’ For $100, ‘Platinum Shoppers’ will receive a complimentary drink in a hand-painted cocktail glass, one raffle ticket, lite dinner and parking. With a fee of $50, ‘Gold Shoppers’ will receive dinner and parking. There is also the option of purchasing a $20 raffle ticket only, or sending a donation in support of the work of the Crouse Hospital Auxiliary. Reservations to ‘Retail Therapy’ should be made by Oct. 12 by contacting Kellie Mista at 471-4636 or showoffs@twcny.rr.com.

The Crouse Hospital Auxiliary is comprised of more than 500 all-volunteer members. Since 1888, the organization has raised millions of dollars to buy hospital equipment, provide scholarships for nursing students and cover the cost of “Visit to Hospital Land,” an ongoing community service project that gives local first-graders a chance to visit the hospital and experience a day as a patient.
