There’s nothing worse than shoulder pain that keeps you from your work, favorite activities or just getting out of bed in the morning without aching. Although it may seem as though there’s no rhyme or reason for your joint stiffness or weakness, most of the time an underlying condition causes shoulder pain.
Join our experts on Tuesday, May 28, for “Treating and Preventing Shoulder Pain,” a free community health forum presented by Crouse Hospital. Two of the area’s leading orthopedic surgeons, Dan Wnorowski, MD, and Michael Wiese, MD, will address how shoulder pain is diagnosed; the role of arthroscopy in arthritis; and the latest surgical and non-surgical treatment options. They’ll also offer suggestions on how to cope with arthritis and rotator cuff injuries as well as how to maintain an active lifestyle after surgery.
Dr. Wnorowski and Dr. Wiese are each board certified in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wnorowski is a partner with Syracuse Orthopedic Associates and Dr. Wiese is a partner in Orthopedics East.
The program, open to the public, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Marley Education Center, 765 Irving Ave. Free parking is available in the Marley and Crouse Hospital garages. Pre-registration is required by calling 315/472-2464.
