We were honored to have Judge Langston McKinney as a guest Feb. 1 to help us kick off a month-long celebration recognizing and honoring the accomplishments of African Americans in our community. Judge McKinney became Syracuse's first black city judge upon his appointment in 1986. One of his main messages: whatever you do, do it well. We are grateful to staff member Veronica Clanton and her colleagues for their leadership and coordination of this year's Black History Month activities, which continue throughout the month.
