Brad Raphael, MD, has joined the medical staff of Crouse Hospital. Dr. Raphael’s specialty is orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and shoulder injuries. He is a partner with his father, orthopedic surgeon Irving Raphael, MD, in Elite Healthcare Medical Associates, Syracuse, and currently serves as assistant team physician for Syracuse University Athletics. His father is head team physician for SU, a position he has held for nearly two decades.
Dr. Raphael received his medical degree from Yale University Medical School in 2005 and completed his orthopedic residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery, in New York City. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at Kerlan Jobe Orthopedic Clinic, Inglewood, CA, and a surgical internship at Weil Cornell New York Presbyterian Medical Center, also in New York City.
While in Los Angeles, Dr. Raphael served as assistant team physician for a number of California sports teams, including the LA Dodgers; LA Angels; LA Lakers; LA Kings; and the Anaheim Ducks.
