You know them as Ted and Amy, the dynamic duo of the morning drive-time airwaves for the past 22 years. But did you also know that each December they masquerade as Santa’s elves?
Ted Long and Amy Robbins have a long-standing holiday tradition of partnering with Crouse to help with our Adopt-a-Family gift collection, a program of Catholic Charities. For the past 21 years, hospital departments have “adopted” local families for Christmas to help fulfill their holiday wishes.
When employees drop off their wrapped gifts to the Crouse Mail Center, Ted and Amy meet and greet and thank them for their generosity…and pitch in to help package the gifts for delivery.
Darlene Sheets from our Chemical Dependency Treatment Services has coordinated the program for Crouse for the past seven years. This year, 65 hospital departments have purchased gifts for 99 adults and 157 children, with an estimated total value of $15,000.
Many thanks to Crouse employees for making the holidays a little brighter for families in our community. And special thanks to our good friends Ted and Amy for taking time out of their busy schedules to lend a hand and add to the fun and festivities. It wouldn't be Christmas at Crouse without them!
