Crouse Hospital Appoints New Director of Care Coordination Services

LaPierre-B-2010Brenda LaPierre, RN, MS, has been named Director of Care Coordination Services for Crouse Hospital. In her new role, LaPierre will oversee all aspects of the hospital’s Care Coordination program, which coordinates and facilitates discharge planning services to insure optimal patient care across the continuum.

LaPierre most recently served as Director of Services for Enhanced Care Initiatives Inc., where she was responsible for the strategic oversight and management of the clinical components of the company’s geriatric case management program in the Buffalo and Rochester markets. Prior to that she was Senior Director of Care Management and Bed Coordination for Rochester General Hospital.

LaPierre, who was employed at Crouse from 1985 to 1992 as utilization review coordinator, also spent six years at Excellus Health Plan in Rochester in senior management roles including Director of Government Programs for Medical Benefits Management.

LaPierre holds a master’s degree in nursing from Syracuse University.
