Syracuse served as host of the USBC Women’s Bowling Tournament’s April 7 through July 3, with more than 30,000 top bowlers participating. This was Syracuse’s third time hosting the national women’s tournament, having done so in 1940 and 1954.
Bowlers and non-bowlers alike enjoyed an evening of fun on the specially constructed bowling lanes at The Oncenter on Wednesday, April 13. As a kickoff to the U.S. Women’s Bowling Congress Championships, Rock, Roll & Bowl for Charity benefitted six local organizations including Crouse Health Foundation.
Over $2,000 in net proceeds was raised through ticket sales supporting Crouse. The event provided exclusive access to the USBC Women’s Bowling Tournament’s 48-lane bowling arena uniquely built inside the Nicholas J. Pirro Convention Center, The Oncenter. Attendees were the only non-tournament participants able to utilize the precision-built lanes. Live music, fun finger foods and signature tournament drinks added to the festivities of the evening.
